- Create a very simple to-do list tracker. I started using the simplest version of a paper planner that you could imagine. For the first version, I bought a blank spiral bound notebook and on each sheet of that notebook I wrote out a single day of the week and then underneath I would write all of the hours of the day. I would write out each day of the week like this, and it became my visual map of how I was going to be moving through the week hour by hour. Really simple.
- Make a proactive plan for your week. Set aside time each week—whether it’s Sunday evening or Monday morning—to review your calendar and schedule tasks. Be specific about when you’ll tackle each commitment, breaking them down into manageable time blocks. This level of granularity not only ensures that nothing falls through the cracks but also provides a sense of control and peace of mind.
