When I first came to the program, I was moving toward becoming a nurse. It’s what I wanted to do my whole life. It had to be my dream. It had to be my purpose. So I decided to go on for my RN program.
Through the Brilliant Balance program and a lot of work, however, I found that it really wasn’t my dream or my purpose. It was something that I conjured up in my childhood that I thought would benefit me and my family. What I really love is helping people. I love that part. And maybe I can take what I know about life in general and help somebody out there, maybe more than one somebody…and also have time for my family and have time for me.
I now know that I really have something incredible and special to offer to other people that can help them make changes. And I don’t think I would have the growth that I have if I didn’t have the constant reminder that I’m capable of it.
Once you wipe out those limiting beliefs – and I came from so many limiting beliefs – once I understood that I was the one that was placing those limiting beliefs on me, I was like, “Oh, here I am, ready to go and fly.”
